We really want to encourage everyone to sign up for the 2014 CrossFit Open. It's a very fun community wide competition. Athletes perform 5 WODs over 5 weeks and those elite who place in the top 60 of their region will move on (that accounts for less than 1%!) The rest of us mortals are doing it to have fun, to be a part of the community, and, if desired, compare ourselves to others all over the world which is not only fun but quite amazing if you think about it. Hundreds of thousands of people at the same competition. If you are feeling uneasy or intimidated in any way, please don't. This is nothing to fear; nothing about which one should be nervous. If you'd like, pull one of the coaches aside and talk to us about your concerns. ...You'll have fun and you may even end up helping your fellow athletes. We accumulate points and everyone's performance will help us. So please, for you and for the rest of us, sign up at games.crossfit.com.
